E-commerce: Amazon arriva a Bergamo


Potente investimento del colosso di Seattle che ha messo sul piatto oltre 50 milioni di euro per l’apertura di un hub logistico nel Nord Italia. Il nuovo punto, che servirà soltanto per lo smistamento della merce, sarà ubicato in provincia di Bergamo, a Casirate d’Adda e avrà una superficie di ben 34.000 metri quadrati, creando in tre anni ben 400 nuovi posti di lavoro a tempo indeterminato. I primi 50 dipendenti sono già stati assunti e altri ancora ne seguiranno. All’inaugurazione era presente il responsabile Amazon per il Sud Europa Tareq Rajjal che ha rinnovato l’impegno del colosso dell’e-commerce ad ampliare i già cospicui investimenti fatti dall’azienda in Italia. Negli ultimi sette anni il capitale investito ha raggiunto 1,6 miliardi di euro che sono destinati a crescere ancora con l’apertura, nel 2019, di un nuovo centro di distribuzione a Torazza Piemonte. I dipendenti di Amazon in Italia sono già 5200 divisi tra Lazio, Emilia Romagna, Piemonte, Lombardia e Toscana, ma l’azienda rilancia e punta a creare 1700 nuovi posti di lavoro per l’anno corrente.
