Lavoratori Whirlpool, addio allo stabilimento di Napoli


Dopo la lunga trattativa con il Governo la Whirlpool ha confermato che chiuderà lo stabilimento di Napoli in quanto perde 20 milioni di euro l’anno. Un esito inatteso, in quanto la trattativa puntava a salvaguardare il lavoro dei 450 operai coinvolti nel sito produttivo. Alla decisione è subito seguito il coinvolgimento di Invitalia che si è attivata per la ricerca, per conto del governo, di un nuovo soggetto che subentri alla multinazionale americana. La data definitiva è il 31 ottobre prossimo, sollecitata dal Ministero dello Sviluppo economico, dopo che era stata comunicata per il 31 marzo 2020. Il colosso americano è presente in Italia con altri siti produttivi ed un organico di 5 mila dipendenti, un Paese che resta strategico per il gruppo.
