Dati Covid-19 e la posizione del Comitato Europeo

Il Comitato Europeo per la protezione dei dati si è espresso in merito al trattamento dei dati personali nel contesto del contenimento e dell’attuazione di tutte le misure idonee per combattere il coronavirus. In particolare siccome il Governo e gli enti pubblici stanno adottando diverse misure di per contenere la pandemia queste potrebbero necessitare del trattamento di diverse tipologie di dati personali, si pensi solo a tutte le attività che i diversi Comuni stanno attuando per aiutare anziani, disabili e persone sole. Il Comitato Europeo per la protezione dei dati, pertanto, si è espresso sottolineando che: “anche in questi momenti eccezionali, titolari e responsabili del trattamento devono garantire la protezione dei dati personali degli interessati. Occorre pertanto tenere conto di una serie di considerazioni per garantire la liceità del trattamento di dati personali e, in ogni caso, si deve ricordare che qualsiasi misura adottata in questo contesto deve rispettare i principi generali del diritto e non può essere irrevocabile”.
