Cortina 2021 verso il rinvio

La prima "prova generale" per Milano Cortina 2026 – e cioè le finali di Coppa del mondo di sci alpino, in programma dal 18 al 22 marzo nella città ampezzana – era stata annullata, nel pieno dell'emergenza-coronavirus. E ora la seconda, prestigiosa tappa verso i Giochi – e cioè i Mondiali di sci alpino di Cortina – rischia il rinvio. Una notizia preoccupante, anche perché la rassegna iridata è in programma a febbraio 2021.

Ad annunciarlo è stato Giovanni Malagò nel corso del programma Che tempo che fa, su Rai 2. "E' una scelta molto sofferta, ma di buon senso", ha affermato il presidente del Coni, " ed è stata presa perché la federazione è garante di molti aspetti finanziari. Se a ottobre o novembre ci sara' un problema, il Mondiale non si potrà fare nel 2021. Nel 2022 ci saranno le Olimpiadi invernali a Pechino, dunque si dovrebbero fare prima i Giochi e poi i Mondiali di Cortina".

Domani dunque Flavio Roda, presidente della Fisi, chiederà il rinvio alla Federazione internazionale. Data proposta, marzo 2022.
