Sports Awards svizzeri: svelate le nomination


Annunciate le nomination individuali per gli Sports Awards, organizzati dalla televisione svizzera e dedicato ai protagonisti dello sport svizzero. Quest'anno, a causa della pandemia, si è scelto di nominare il miglior atleta elvetico degli ultimi 70 anni. A contendersi il premio, che sarà assegnato il prossimo 13 dicembre (Rsi La2, ore 20.05, con gala condotto da Sandra Studer e Rainer Maria Salzgeber), saranno Simon Ammann (salto con gli sci), Dario Cologna (sci di fondo), Roger Federer (tennis), Werner Günthör (getto del peso), Bernhard Russi e Pirmin Zurbriggen (sci alpino).

In campo femminile sono state nominate Denise Bielmann (pattinaggio artistico), Ariella Käslin (ginnastica artistica), Simone Niggli-Luder (corsa d'orientamento), Vreni Schneider, Lise-Marie Morerod ed Erika Reymond-Hess (sci alpino).

Saranno anche assegnati premi per le squadre, gli sportivi paralimpici e gli allenatori, le cui nomination erano già state rivelate. Tra i team, in lizza la 4x100 femminile del 2019 (atletica leggera), la nazionale maschile di hockey vicecampione del mondo del 2018, il quattro senza pesi leggeri del 2016 (canottaggio), la nazionale di calcio under 17 campione del mondo 2009 (che schierava, tra gli altri, Ricardo Rodríguez, Haris Seferović e Granit Xhaka) e due team tennistici: il doppio olimpionico a Pechino 2008 e quella di Davis 2014. In entrambi i casi, spiccano i nomi di Roger Federer (ancora una volta) e Stan Wawrinka.

Tra gli allenatori, lotta a tre fra Arno Del Curto (hockey), Jean-Pierre Egger (atletica) e Karl Frehsner (sci alpino). Fra i paralimpici, tre protagonisti dell'atletica leggera: Edith Wolf-Hunkeler, Heinz Frei, Marcel Hug.
